Meet Jo Ann - Owner & Master of the Whisk!
Hey, I am Jo Ann Vaughn. I am a married Mom of two boys who lives in the south hills. The idea for my company Rooted In Recipes was originally thought of in 2006 when I became a Mom and started making my own baby food for my boys. As they say becoming a parent changes everything and boy it sure did. I dabbled in cooking and teaching others for several years before I gained the courage to do it myself full time as a career. Cooking is a passion of mine as well as a necessary life skill. It is my hope, that not only will you gain some culinary knowledge along the way and some inspiration and confidence to create some lasting new skill sets and make some memories along the way. As I tell my boys when I was teaching them to cook... If you mess the meal up too bad, there’s always pizza! I look forward to meeting you.
